HEUVELMANS (van Vugt): Josina (Susie). A longtime resident of Ridgetown, Josina (Susie) Heuvelmans died at The Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown, on Saturday, March 9, at age 93. Born Josina Donkers in Volkel (Uden) The Netherlands on June 14, 1919, daughter of the late Hendricus and Antonia (van Lieshout) Donkers. Beloved wife of Johannes (John) Heuvelmans (2005) and Christianus van Vugt (1962). Loving mother of Petronella (Nellie) and John Templin of Kitchener, Dan and Gerianne van Vugt of Halifax and Hendricus (Harry) and Brenda van Vugt of Windsor. Infant daughter Debra Ann predeceased in 1958. Loving grandmother of David van Vugt of Windsor and great-grandmother of Cassidy van Vugt. Predeceased by son-in-law Jim Reid (1982). Survived by sister Mientje and numerous nieces and nephews in The Netherlands. Predeceased by brothers Antoon, Piet, Harrie, Hein, Koos and sisters Martina and Bertha, all in The Netherlands. Loving stepmother of Angelina (2010) and Martin Van Raay, Ann and Andrew Dorssers, Elizabeth VanDerMolen, Truus and Cor Ermers, Chris and Phyllis Heuvelmans, Theo and Ann Heuvelmans, Gerard Heuvelmans, John and Lorraine Heuvelmans, Mary Vandenberg, Cathy Denomy, and Leo and Carol Heuvelmans. Also predeceased by step sons-in-law Jude Denomy (2004), Eppie VanDerMolen (2000), Harry Vandenberg (1999), Lorne Avery (1984) and Carl VanUden (1961), step daughter-in-law Christine Heuvelmans (1981) and one step grandson (1963). Loving step-grandmother of 44 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff at the The Village on the Ridge for their care and to friends Nellie Janosek, Dianne Mardling and Betty Ryken for their help. Josina, a longtime member of the Catholic Women's League at St. Michael's Church, treasured conversation and coffee with family and friends. She also relished cooking, loved flowers and enjoyed knitting — family members got a kick out of comparing the colourful, comfortable slippers they often received as gifts. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, Ridgetown, Wednesday 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish/C.W.L. Prayers at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Ridgetown. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, Howard Township.
