Obituary of Doris McDiarmid

McDiarmid, Doris Kathleen A resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Morpeth, Doris McDiarmid, passed away peacefully with her family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the age of 88. Born in Howard Township, daughter of the late George & Lulu (McLean) Kriter. Loving Wife of the late Archibald McDiarmid (1973). Loving Mom of George (Christine), Gord (Joanne), Nancy (Don) Canning, Diane (Tim) Goldhawk, John (predeceased 2004). Devoted Grandma of Jared (Celia), Alyssa (Marty), Shane, Stewart (Jessica), Laura (Lauren), Clint, Mark (Paige), Mike (Kayla). Great Grandma to Audrey, Max, Keira, Liam, Victoria. Forever missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Doris cherished her family above all, and was so very proud of their accomplishments. Doris was a past member of the Mecca Chapter Order of the Eastern Star No.58 and Charter Member of Morpeth Heritage Club. She looked forward to the Stew Suppers and Fish Fry's. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Sunday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 10:00 until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Morpeth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to leave an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Rotary Club (Ridgetown). The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at the Village On The Ridge for their compassionate care and support over the past year as well as the Dr.'s and Nurses at the CKHA.
