Obituary of Max Gosnell

Gosnell, Max Wilson - A resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Orford Township, Max Wilson Gosnell passed away peacefully at the Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown on Sunday June 25, 2017 just short of his 97th birthday.

Max was the eldest son of the late Lloyd and Mary (Edwards) Gosnell. Predeceased by his loving wife Jean (McIntyre) 2015.

Dear father of Linda (Tim) Moore of Belwood, Brenda Gosnell-Gordon of Hickory Grove, and Dr. Robert (Leslie) Gosnell of Belding Michigan.

Proud grandfather of nine and great grandfather of fourteen.

Survived by his younger brother Ted Gosnell and sister-in-law Ruth Magee.

Predeceased by his sister Muriel Field, brother John S Gosnell, two sisters-in-law Marion Gosnell and Donna Gosnell and two brothers-in-law David McIntyre and Warren McIntyre.

Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Max was a veteran of WW II RCAF and branch 243 Royal Canadian Legion Ridgetown. A member of the Canadian Airforce Association and the War Plane Heritage Museum Hamilton. Former member of the Ontario Chapter of the International Flying Farmers. He was a longtime member of the former Highgate United Church and currently a member of the Emmanuel Congregational Church in Ridgetown.

Honouring Max's wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private family service of Christian burial at Gosnell cemetery will take place at a later date.
