Obituary of L. Ross Addeman

ADDEMAN Laird Ross of Chatham, in his 81st year, passed away at London Health Science Centre on Wednesday March 29, 2006. Dearly loved by his daughter Beverly of Chatham, his son Kenneth and wife Rhonda of London, his grandchildren Tawnia and her husband Dave Atkinson, Mark Mifflin and his wife Corrinna, Kevin, Kelly and Bryan Addeman. He will be missed by his great grandchildren Serenity, Nichol, Chelsi, Markus, Jake and Gracie. Predeceased by his wife and life partner of 53 years, Marion Elizabeth in 1999. Ken and Bev know he will be missed by the many friends and co-workers from his 36 years as Public Relations Officer and later General Manager of the Ontario Wheat Board. He was a proud veteran of World War II as a Sergeant in the Royal Canadian Air Force serving on a B24 Liberator squadron stationed in India. Still an acting Past President of Chatham Branch 28 Legion- RCAF Wing 411, and will be missed by close friend John Burgess and all his Wing colleagues who enjoyed reading his regular newsletters and were thankful for his tireless dedication to their group. To those who came to know and love Ross as a friend and neighbour, who shared in his creative talents and welcomed the chance to visit with him daily, Ken and Bev will be forever grateful. You gave our father great purpose and happiness in his last years. A service was held for the immediate family at the McKinlay Funeral Home on Saturday April 1, 2006 and we wish to thank Reverend George Allan of Sprucedale United Church for his kind words.
