VERELLEN: A resident of Ridgetown, Frank N. Verellen died suddenly as the result of an accident with his brother-in-law Leo Straatman in Indio, California on Monday, May 1, 2006 at the age of 63. Born in Turnhout, Belgium, dear son of Maria Verellen of Stratford and the late Joseph Verellen. Beloved husband of Frieda (Denys) Verellen. Dear father of Michael and Lou Ann Verellen of Shedden, Jim and Renée Verellen of Kent Bridge, Dan and Jen Verellen of Thamesville, Francis and Tracey Verellen of Palmyra, and Denise and Dan Pokornik of Ridgetown. Loved grandfather of Kurtis, Kaitlin, Emily, Derek, Miranda, Jesse, Jacqueline, André, Joshua, Jacob, Shawn, Adam, Catherine, and Alison. Brother of Madeleine and Harry Visser of Stratford, Louis and Karen Verellen of Princeton, Renelda and Gerry Boersen of Stratford, Alphonse Verellen and Bonnie of Stratford, Mary and Khokan Guha of Toronto, André and Therese Verellen of Kitchener, John Verellen and Laurel of Stratford, Josee Verellen of Vancouver Island, Bill and Cheryl Verellen of Stratford, and the late Rose Huitema and her husband Peter of Sebringville, Joseph Verellen, and Johannes Verellen. Brother-in-law of Lea and Frans Vanneste of Clandeboye, Edith and Harry Ansems of Nova Scotia, Christiane Verlinde of Exeter and her late husband Marcel, Mona DeBrouwer of Troy and her late husband Martin, Lina Straatman of Watford and her late husband Leo, Daniel and Mary Ann Denys of Parkhill, Rika and John Aarts of Lakeside, John and Marilyn Denys of Parkhill, Marlene and Rick Mazur of Alberta, and Magda Denys of Parkhill. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was a helicopter pilot for many years and flew for Zimmer Air Services, Blenheim where he will also be sadly missed by his co-workers. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Thursday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Ridgetown on Friday, May 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Ridgetown.
