GIRGIS: A resident of Chatham, Dr. Ramsis Attia Girgis, died at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at the age of 74. Born in The Sudan, son of Attia and Victoria (Assad) Girgis. Beloved husband of the late Hannelore (Gross) Girgis (2002). Dear father of Marcus and Catherine Girgis of Windsor, and Hannes and Kylie Girgis of Ottawa. Loving grandfather of Micah and Sophia of Windsor and Abrie, Karver and Kenzie of Ottawa. Brother of Hanna, Mary Ann and Madeline all of Egypt. Brother-in-law of Ilse Osmann and Gunther Gross, both of Germany. Family will receive visitors at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday, May 14, 2006 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. Johannes Awadalla, of London officiating. Interment of cremated remains to be held in Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date. Donations made by cheque to the Chatham Outreach for Hunger or Chatham-Kent Women's Centre appreciated.
