Dick, Sarah Betty Ruth - A resident of Ridgetown, Betty passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, on Monday May 15, 2017 in her 86th year. Born in Aldborough Twsp., daughter of the late Earl Huffman and Blanche nee Newcombe. Beloved wife of the late Alexander F. Dick. Dear Mother of John A. and his wife Millie Dick of RR#4 Thamesville and Joan Feron of Ridgetown. Adored Grandmother of Julie Dick of London, Aaron (Katie) McKenney of London, Brian (Rachel) Feron of Sarnia, Nicole (Clayton) Hatfield of Woodstock. Proud Great-Grandmother to Grayson, Alexander and Oliver. Sister-in-law to Mary Margaret Dell of Edmonton Alberta. Will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Jack (Grace) Huffman, Edna (Ted) Shipman, Louise (Albert) Walters, and Leonard (Rita) Huffman. Lifetime member of the Botany United Church Women and the Beachwood Women’s Institute. Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. E., on Friday May 19, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday May 20 at 11am. Interment to follow in Botany Cemetery, Howard Township. Donations in memory of Betty can be made to St. John’s Botany United Church or to the Village on the Ridge Residence Council.
