Obituary of Helen Pearl Brien

Peacefully, at Village on the Ridge, on Tuesday, October 1st, 2019, Helen Pearl Brien (nee Parney) passed away at the age of 96. Helen was the daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Parney. Beloved wife of 67 years to the late William “Bill” Brien (2012).

Loving mother of Stanley Brien (Edna) of Ridgetown. Proud grandmother of Billy and Kevin (Jenn). Forever remembered by her great grandchildren Liam and Annabelle. Predeceased by her siblings Clifford Parney, Jean Thomas and Warren Parney.

Dear aunt to Margaret Ann Gold (Allan) of Belle River, John Thomas (Pat) of Blenheim, Cheryl Sparling (Jon), Lorraine Osborne (Ian) of Ridgetown, Bob Ranahan (Elaine) of Vancouver, Gail Peters (Bob) of Windsor, Nancy Cameron (Jim) of Chatham, Charles Guyitt (Brenda) of Ridgetown and Ruth Laforet (Jim) of Lake Morningstar. Predeceased by niece Carol Lozinski (Bill) and nephew Larry Parney.

She will be missed by her many great nieces and nephews. Helen took great pride in her work as a bookkeeper, was an avid bridge player and lawn bowled alongside Bill. Helen cared deeply for her family.

Friends and family will be received at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown, on Friday, October 4th, 2019 from 7 to 9 pm, where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1pm. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown. Donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Mount Zion Presbyterian Church (General Fund) or a charity of your choice.
