Obituary of Betty Joy Bonnett
Betty Joy Bonnett, a resident of Rondeau and formerly of Chatham, passed away at St. Joseph’s Auxillary Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta, on Thursday, October 31st, 2019. Born in Chatham, Betty was the daughter of the late William and Maude Shulver (nee Grimes). Beloved wife of the late David Bonnett (July 19, 2013). Cherished mother of Nancy and her husband David Medaglia of Edmonton, Alberta, and Ronald Bonnett and his wife Gaye of Calgary, Alberta. Predeceased by infant son Gordon.
Grandmother of Shannon Medaglia (Mark), Clio Bonnett (Noel), Zale Bonnett (Marissa), and Pierus Bonnett (Kelsi). Great grandmother to Carmella Horneman, and Eden Bonnett-Dwyre. Sister of Phyllis Rudman (Sid), and the late Rosemary Verrall (Stan). Sister-in-law of Jean Gilbert (Glen), and the late Jack Bonnett (Agnes).
Betty was an active volunteer with the Girl Guides, serving as treasurer of the Trefoil Guild, as well as a member of the Church of the Advent ACW.
A Funeral Service will be held at Church of the Advent, 20 Church Street South, Ridgetown, on Tuesday, November 12th, 2019 at 1:30pm. Interment to follow in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Morpeth.
