JoLynn Deprez

Obituary of JoLynn Danielle Deprez

JoLynn Danielle Deprez (nee Allely)

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we announce the tragic loss and sudden passing of our sweet JoLynn.  She passed away Sunday November 28th, 2021 at University Hospital in London with family and friends by her side; at the young age of 36.

Born in Chatham, daughter of Jim & Cathy Allely (nee Henderson). Beloved wife to Chris Deprez, and Mother to Winifred (Winnie).

She is survived by her sisters Jennifer Goodison, Jaimie (Terry) Amerlinck, her brother Jason (Julie) Allely; her brother and sister-in-law Shaun & Shawna Deprez, her in-laws Ingrid Deprez, John (Cathy) Deprez and Grandmas Mary Deprez and Laura McCallum.

She was the proud Aunt to many nieces & nephews including:  Suprina (Brad) Bartlett, Krystal Goodison, Tyler (Samantha) Goodison, Chelsea (Brad) Goodison, Dallas Goodison, Brooke (Dash) Goodison, JJ, Jaden, Jase, Aubree Deprez, & Jackson Deprez.

She was also the proud great aunt to Tyson, Logan, Owen, Alyssa, Miley, Tyrese, Kassia, Charlotte, Gwendolyn.

She was loved and will be missed by all her aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family as well.

She is predeceased by her brother-in-law Ken Goodison (2017).

She will be missed by so many close friends - too many to name; but they know who they are and will all hold JoLynn close to their hearts forever.  She loved them like family and they will cherish their time with Jo forever.

She met Chris on the soccer field back in 2005, and it was love at first sight.  They were married for 13 wonderful years; they did everything together and loved every minute of each other.

But most of all she will miss her sweet, dear Winnie, who just turned 2. Winnie lit up JoLynn’s whole world and she would do absolutely anything for her.  Jo will live on through Winnie as we have the privilege to watch her grow.

JoLynn grew up in Blenheim, Ontario where her love for friends and sports blossomed.  Her main sports were Volleyball, Baseball, Soccer and more recently Tennis.  She had a passion for the gym and staying healthy.

She always had the drive and ambition to succeed with an incredibly strong work ethic.  From working at Home Run Restaurant for most of her youth with her friends, graduating from Blenheim District High School, then working at Rondeau Provincial Park from the age of 18. She then achieved her Business Administration Degree from Davenport University which helped her start her career with the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development; where she kept climbing the corporate ladder and the sky was the limit for her.  She had a passion for her work and loved the challenge.

The family would like to thank the staff at University Hospital in London - Cardiac Care team for their extraordinary care and compassion during this very difficult time.  JoLynn pulled on a lot of heart strings during her short visit there and made a lot of friends which should be no surprise.

Cremation has taken place and Friends and family will be received at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown, on Saturday, December 4th, 2021, from 2 to 4:30pm and 5:00 to 8pm. Those planning to attend the Visitation must register by phone (519-674-3141) or via the following link: (https://signup.com/go/LsTsznF ). As per JoLynn's wishes, those attending must show proof of double vaccination.

A celebration of life will be arranged in the new year.

JoLynn always supported youth athletics in South-Kent; as sports, health and fitness were always JoLynn’s passion and we know she would want to give back to youth in our great community. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of JoLynn (payable by cheque only) to the Chatham Kent Community Foundation (JoLynn Deprez Athletic Fund) would be appreciated.
