Archibald, Thomas Henry

 

On February 13, 2023 Thomas Henry Archibald passed away peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 81. Beloved husband of 60 years to Laurine (nee Carter).

 

He was born in Noel, Nova Scotia on January 8, 1942 to the late Alexander and Ina (Webb) Archibald.

 

Loving father of Darlene Pinter, Terry (Bonnie), and Brian (Melissa) Archibald. Proud Grandfather of Justin (Lisa), Tyler (Emily), Dylan (Taylor), and Hope (Shane) Pinter. Great Grandfather to Taylor Pinter.

 

Brother of Claire (the late Doug) Tanner, Sandy (John) Zandbergen, Linda (deceased) (Don)(Faye) White, Susan (the late Earl) (Harold) Grant, and George (Susan) Archibald.

 

Brother-in-law to James (Margaret) Carter, Ronald Carter, Vern (the late Germaine), Marvin (deceased) Carter, Gary (deceased) Carter, and Brenda (the late James) Pumfrey.

 

Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family especially those at Blenheim Chev.

 

He had a long military career including the Navy Reserve, Army, and Air Force in which he retired from after 20 years of service. Afterwards he spent another 21 years with the RCMP drug and narcotics squad based out of London, ON.

 

In keeping with Thomas’ wishes, a private family service will be held at McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown, with a burial to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery on March 2, 2023. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life starting at 2:30pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 243, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown.
