Obituary of Jean Paul Caron

CARON: Jean Paul “J.P.” – A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Pain Court, J.P. passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on January 24, 2009 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Rita Caron (nee Hickey) for 64 years. Loving father of Patricia Caron of Chatham, Pauline Demers (Bill Scott) of Picton, Dennis Caron of Ottawa, Maureen Caron of Toronto, Maurice Caron of Jarvis and Janet Smith (Paul) of Pain Court. Proud grandfather and great-grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. J.P. was born in Pain Court to the late Ladislas and Alma Caron (nee Trudell). Survived by his brother Vincent Caron of Chatham, and his sisters Theresa Donlon of Windsor and Rosalie Côté of Florida. Brother-in-law to Marie Caron, Margaret (Caron) Richer and Margot Roy. Predeceased by his twin brother Louis-Philippe Caron, his brother Regis Caron and his sisters Pauline Roy, Alma Richer, Dorothy Fox and Blanche Foy. J.P. was an Honourary Member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Le Club d’amitié de Pain Court and the Active Lifestyle Centre. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Parish Prayers at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculée Conception Church, Pain Court on Wednesday January 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Jim Williams and Fr. Daniel Bombardier officiating. Interment Immaculée Conception Cemetery. Donations to the London Health Sciences Centre – Dialysis Unit and Chatham-Kent Health Alliance – MRI Fund would be appreciated by the family.
