KOACHES (Kocsis), Alexander, a resident of Chatham, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the age of 82. Predeceased by his parents Charles & Elizabeth Kocsis (Lapis). Beloved husband to Jean Koaches (Jones) of 62 years. Loving father of Ronald Koaches, of Edmonton, Barbara & Robert Snary, of Chatham, Jordan Koaches, of Chatham, Cheryl Koaches, of Chatham, Karen Pitts, of Chatham, and the late infant Timothy. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas & Jennifer Snary, of London, Brandi Snary (Matthew), of Chatham and Spencer Koaches, of Edmonton. Predeceased by his brothers Charles, Leslie & Steve Koaches. Dear brother-in-law to Jenny Koaches, of Hamilton. Alex is survived by several nieces and nephews. Alex will be dearly missed by special friends, the Gagnier family. Alex adored his grandchildren and his canine companion, Benji. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at Gregory Drive Alliance Church on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gord Reynolds officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations in memory of Alex to London Health Sciences Centre-Oncology Department and Gideon Bibles would be greatly appreciated by the family.
