Obituary of Jessie Mae Eves

EVES: Jessie Mae – A resident of Mull for over 54 years, Jessie Eves passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her family on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the age of 96. Jessie was born in Shoe Cove, Newfoundland, and was the beloved wife of the late Jack Eves (2007). Loving mother of Nancy Bowers and Deb Eves, both of Mull. Predeceased by her son Dennis Eves (October 1, 1971). Proud grandmother of Ethel Bowers, Emily Bowers, Terry Bowers, Jr. (Tracey), and Michelle Hanchar (Ken); Roberta Barnier and William Barnier (Tabitha). Great-grandmother to Deborah, Seth, Stephanie, Jocelyn, Kelsey, Brooke, Terry Jr., Tyler, Trystan, Tasha, Autumn, Pursayas, Brittany, Mitchell and Amber. Great-great-grandmother to Kodah, Hudson, Skylar, Shaden, Caleb, Bella, Terry Jr., Ryland and Mailah. Predeceased by her siblings Lydia Dawe, Gertrude Noseworthy, George Bownes, Louis Bownes and Netta Grace. Dearly missed by her greatest friend Fern Stoner. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Jessie was a very gifted knitter and will be remembered for the gentle way she dedicated her life and her love to her family. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Monday, November 10, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 with Pastor Ed Nicol officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations made in memory of Jessie to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
