Obituary of Patricia Ann 'Pat' Vermet

VERMET: Patricia Ann 'Pat' (nee Harper) - A resident of Thamesville, and Pat Vermet passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the age of 79. Born in Zone Township, Kent County, Pat was the daughter of the late J.J. Harold and Eveline (Palfery) Harper. Cherished wife of 59 years to the late Charles Vermet (2012). Loving mother to two daughters and one son. Fondly remembered by her grandsons Adam Vanderiviere and Sean Vanderiviere (Amber). Predeceased by grandson Scott Evan Vanderiviere (2000). Dear sister to Marion Harwood of London. Predeceased by her brothers Raymond Harper (Iline) and Glenn Harper (Donna). Also missed by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family. Pat and Charlie farmed together in the Thamesville area since 1953. She thoroughly enjoyed playing the organ, knitting and dancing at the Saturday night dances at the KBD club. She loved spending coffee time with her friends at Tim Hortons. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m and on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 12:30 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. with Fr. Ray Lawhead officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations made in memory of Pat to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
