DAWSON: Dorothy (nee Mifflin) – A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Raleigh Township, Dorothy Dawson passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with her family at her side on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the age of 87. Born in Chatham, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Orlo and Olive (Walker) Mifflin. Beloved wife of the late James Glen Dawson (1994). Loving mother of William Dawson (Brenda) of Pinehurst, Paul Dawson (Patricia) of Vancouver and Ann D’Hondt (Wayne) of R.R. # 1 Muirkirk. Predeceased by her son Robert (1996) and daughter Sharon (1957). Dear mother-in-law to Mary Dawson of Chatham. Proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her sister-in-law Keitha Mifflin of Edmonton. Predeceased by her siblings Morley, Helen, Don, Jack, Murray and Bob. Also missed by several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013 with Rev. Bill Terris officiating. Interment to follow at Pardoville-Union Cemetery.
