Obituary of Margaret 'Betty' Webb

WEBB, Margaret ‘Betty’. A resident of Chatham, Margaret Bethora “Betty” Webb, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. She was born in Saskatchewan, 81 years ago, daughter of the late John & Edith (Cartwright) Francis. Beloved wife to Ronald (Ernie) Webb. Loving mother of Jon Ann Purcell (Philip) and Brent Webb (Anne), all of Chatham. Cherished grandmother of Stephen, Drew, Becca, Blair, Nikki, Colin, Kadianne, and Alora. Dear sister of the late Ethel (Bert) Swayze. Lovingly remembered by the Ron’s siblings Evelyn Reynolds (late Harry) of Ridgetown, Jim Webb (Pat) of Nova Scotia, and Cheryl Clarke (Alex) of Ridgetown. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Betty was a Nursing Graduate of PGH in 1954, and was active with the PGH Nursing Alumni and the Heather Club for many years. She was a long time member of Chatham Baptist Church. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday January 15, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jamie Tiffin officiating. Cremation will follow. Donations in memory of Betty to the Foundation of CKHA or the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.
