Obituary of Robert 'Bob' McKay

McKay, Robert “Bob” A resident of Chatham, Robert “Bob” McKay, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the age of 80. Born in Miami, MB, son of the late Ralph & Elva McKay. Beloved husband of 50 years to Sharon McKay (McAskile). Loving father to Dr. Michael & Aynsley McKay of Napolian, Ohio, Steven & Sue McKay of London, Matthew & Denise McKay of Chatham. Grandfather to Adrian, Carter, Chloe, Colin, Raegan. Bob is survived by his sister Anne McKay of Chatham and sister-in-law Kay McKay, predeceased by siblings Dorothy McLarty (Murray), Bruce McKay, Donald McKay (Laura). Bob will be sadly missed by his black Cockapoo Coal, his best buddy. He worked in sales at Union Gas for 45 years, was a member of the Wellington Victory Lodge #46, Chatham, the Chatham Granite Club and the Blenheim Golf Course. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering will take place at the Kent Club, 287 King Street West, Chatham on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 1:00 until 3:00p.m. Donations in memory of Robert McKay to the O.S.P.C.A Chatham-Kent or the Chatham-Kent Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
