Obituary of Eleanor Forsyth

Forsyth, Norma Eleanor, a resident of Chatham-Kent. Eleanor Forsyth died Sunday April 20, 2014 surrounded by her family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus at the age of 88. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Edgar B. & Margaret (Chinnick) Harris. Beloved wife of the late W. David Forsyth (1994). Dear mother of Beryl (Warren) Seton, Chatham; Dianne (Max) deBruyn, Chatham; Joanne (Blaine) Harvey, Tupperville; and Barbara (Randy) Jackson, Thamesville. Grandmother of Jonathan & Matthew Seton; Laura & Marc deBruyn; Derek & Colin Harvey; Kayla & Shawnie Jackson. Great Grandmother of Brynn Harvey. Sister of the late Helen Sloan(2012), Murray Harris(1997) and Clayton Harris(1995). Sister-in-law of Jack & Marion Forsyth and Kathryn (the late Grant) Forsyth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Eleanor worked tirelessly on the farm alongside her husband David and continued the legacy with love. She loved to quilt and was a volunteer at the CKHA Cancer Clinic for over 15 years. Eleanor was an avid supporter of all her children and grandchildren in their many activities and provided them with an endless supply of muffins. Memories of her kindness will never be forgotten. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham, on Wednesday April 23, 2014 from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Margaret Moriyama officiating. Interment McVicar Cemetery, Chatham Township.
