Obituary of Larry Clarke

Clarke; Larry R., a resident of Chatham, Larry Raymond Clarke passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Tuesday April 22, 2014 at the age of 73, after a strong battle with cancer. Larry was born in Timmins, son of the late Albert & Maude (Roy) Clarke. Beloved husband of Dianne (Simmons) Clarke for 48 years. Loving father of Todd & Lee (Govette) Clarke; Darren & Tara (Morrison) Clarke. Proud and cherished “Poppa” of his 4 beautiful grandchildren Madison, Jordyn, Matthew and Makayla. Predeceased by brother Don & sister Florence. Survived by brothers Roland and Albert and sisters Lucille Brazeau and Mona & Reg Brazeau. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. After his retirement from Larry Clarke’s Home Repairs & Renovations, Larry enjoyed travelling that included many fishing trips with Dianne to Britt and Como Lake in Northern Ontario. Larry will be remembered for his never-ending support he offered to his family and friends through his many talents, his wonderful sense of humour, and his big heart. Rest in peace Poppa you will forever remain in our hearts. A Celebration of Larry’s life will be held at the McKinlay Reception Centre, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Sunday April 27, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Oncology Unit or the War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program in memory of Larry.
