RIVAIT: Clement “Clem” A resident of Tilbury, Clem Rivait died peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Tilbury Manor on Friday April 25, 2014. He was born in Rochester Township, 89 years ago, son of the late Elphege & Dezia (Trudell) Rivait. Beloved husband of the late Delia Rivait, who predeceased him in 2011. Loving father of Linda Mitchell (Jack) of Newfoundland, Ellen Synard (Gordon) of Tilbury, Raymond Rivait (Julie) of Tilbury, Robert Rivait (Sharron) of Tilbury, Ron Rivait (Cheryl) of Tilbury, Penny Dibbley (Ron) of Tilbury, and the late Paul Rivait, and Bernadette (Ken) Arnew . Grandfather of 16, great-grandfather of 12, and predeceased by grandson Dale Arnew. Dear brother of Gerald (Pam) Rivait of Tilbury, Lorette of Strathroy, and the late Blanche Edwards, Aurell Rivait, and Edmund Rivait. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Clem was a 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 2356 Tilbury. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be offered at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Catholic Church, 32 Canal Street West, Tilbury on Monday April 28, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. John Johnson, celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Tilbury. Donations in memory of Clem to the Canadian Cancer Society are welcomed.
