MURRAY, Neil G A resident of Chatham, Neil G. Murray, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on May 17, 2014 at the age of 89. Husband to Marleen (Geldhof) Murray and the late Mary Jean (Bowers) Murray (1999). Loving father to Sue Ann Yamamoto (Ed), Alex Murray (Maureen), Heather Belicka, Annemarie Wilkinson (Garry), John Krammer (Tracy), Anthony Krammer (Kim), Robert Krammer. Forever missed by 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and baby O’Neill to come. Survived by sister Jean Banfield, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Geraldine Bonneau and Merrill Murray. Neil was a Veteran of WWII, serving as an Aircraft Electrician, he was a Troubleshooter for Chatham Hydro,he was an elder at First Presbyterian Church for 50 years and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 28 for 50 years. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Legion Memorial Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Mike Maroney officiating. Interment to follow at McVicar Cemetery.
