Obituary of Bruce Allen Stone

STONE: Bruce Allen – A resident of Chatham-Kent and formerly of London, Bruce Stone passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2014 at the age of 65. Born in Chatham, Bruce was the son of the late Cecil and Louise (Wemp) Stone. Beloved husband of 42 years to Terry (nee Jewell). Loving father of Kerri-Lynn Taylor (Scott) of Tilbury and Jeffrey Stone (Jessica) of Clinton Township, MI. Proud Papa to Brianna and Kaitlyn Taylor; and Megan, Chelsea and soon to be grandson Stone. Dear brother to Barbara Hill (Ron) of Blenheim, Betty Ann Stone (Randy Bulley) of Merlin, and Sharon Ritchie of Dresden. Brother-in-law to Randy Lynn McDonald (Gene) of Owen Sound and Vicky Thibault (Nelson) of Welland. Sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Bruce retired from Bell Canada after 32 years of service and was employed at First Student Canada in Chatham. He thoroughly enjoyed sports, particularly hockey, and his team of choice was the Toronto Maple Leafs. His granddaughters were his pride and joy. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2014 with Rev. Dale Nevelizer officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations made in memory of Bruce to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
