Obituary of Una May Miklos

MIKLOS: Una May (nee Dennis) – A resident of Blenheim, and formerly of Halifax, Una Miklos passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the age of 92. Born in New Liskeard, Ontario, Una was the daughter of the late Warren Oswald Dennis and Elsie (King) Dennis. Beloved wife of the late Leslie Miklos (1992). Loving mother of Larry Miklos (Sally) of Riverview, N.B., Richard Miklos (Gillian) of Ottawa and Robert Miklos (Jo-An) of Halifax. Proud grandmother of Anne Miklos (Jordan), Kevin Miklos, Eric Miklos and Paul Miklos (Julie). Great-grandmother of Damien, Olivia, Emilio, Marcos and Diego. Predeceasd by her sister Asta Zegelien. Una served with the Women's Royal Canadian Naval Services in WWII and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 185 Blenheim, the Blenheim CWL and Blenheim-Harwich Historical Society. She was also an active supporter of the Blenheim Freedom Library. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Wednesday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Parish Prayers will be held on Wednesday at 2:30p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Mary’s Church, 95 Marlborough St North at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014. Cremation to follow. Donations made in memory of Una to the Blenheim Freedom Library would be appreciated by the family.
