Dear Carol & family,

I know my dad (Clayt) appreciated Bert's expertise in the field of mechanics. Dad would always say, "Bert can fix it." He truly enjoyed making something work!!

Good Old uncle berty. What a beautiful soul. Sad to see ya go but glad to know you're healed from any illments you had rendering you with your age here on earth. Sorry to read of your father's death. I remember him working at the Studebaker garage in Thamesville many years ago, when your Mom work at the sales yard, and I would often sit with your Mom at noon hour in the old Fetter's restaurant. Glad that he met his friend Debbie and by the sounds of all the condolences, had a wonderful life and was not sick for all his late years. Treasure all your fun memories.

Well, what can I say Uncle Berty! I've known you ever since I can remember. I will forever cherish your stories about me as just a young little lady...and yourself teaching me to walk around your coffee table! All the nicknames you had for me growing up...that will forever make me smile/chuckle when you cross my mind! All the wonderful Christmas Eve's spent together growing up! All the times of passing by and stopping for a quick chat as you tinkered around in your ever so favourite place to be -- the garage! Seeing you out rolling lawns -- right up until last summer in fact! Amazing! You will be SO missed all around! As I've seen in others posts...I too, find comfort in knowing that you lived a long healthy life! You held on as long as you could...but God was ready for your presence with him! I hope you and good Ol Gramps (Earl Coll) have reunited by now!
To Aunt Debbie...this is not going to be easy! But please know that we are ALL here for you and will continue to be! You shared MANY years of your lives together. And you meant more to Uncle Bert than any friend! I know this...you know this...God knows this! I'm praying that together they are watching over you from the Heavens above...and they are! Keep strong, hang on to all the memories...and smile for all the good times! Love you SO much!

Debbie, we are sorry for your loss, you and Bert have been together for a long time. We have lived here for over 30 years, and have known both of you. I can't imagine the loss you are feeling right now, but remember the good times and they will carry you through.
