Obituary of Robert "Bob" Gammage
Gammage: Robert (Bob) James -
A resident of Ridgetown, Bob passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the age of 77.
He was born in Chatham, and was the son of the late Joseph and Winifred ( nee Priestley) Gammage.
He was a partner with Dan Beecroft of Bob and Dan's Garage, he was a member of the Antique and Classic Car Club of Canada-Kent Region, he loved being in his flower gardens and tinkering with "Strawberry Delight" (his 1954 Ford convertible). He also enjoyed watching the Blue Jays games.
Beloved husband of 48 years to Judy (nee Braybrook) of Ridgetown.
Loving father of Randy (Laura) Gammage of Orleans and Jeff (Molly) Gammage of Ancaster.
Sadly missed by grandchildren, Cole, Bennett and Clark.
Dear brother of Don (Anne) Gammage of Blenheim and Audrey (David) Pyke of Sydney, NS.
Kind brother- in- law of Ruth Chittim of Guelph, George Thomas of Stratford and Betty Thomas of Blenheim.
Predeceased by brother-in-laws, Bill Chittim, Ken Thomas and sister-in-law Elsie Thomas (nee Clingersmith).
Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main St. E., Ridgetown, ON, on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 10 a.m., with Rev. Henry Huberts, officiating.
Interment will be held in Trinity Anglican Cemetery (Howard).
