Dear John, Virginia, Rosalina, Joe and families. I am sorry for your loss. I have the most precious memories of spending time with your Mom when we came over to play as kids. We learned so many things from your Mom such as using a straw to remove the air from a ziplock bag when storing food; having Nutella on toast before Nutella was popular in North America, and enjoying watching the whole event that surrounded wine-making (when the extended family joined your Mom, Dad and you all) - what a joy to see.
Above all I remember your Mom as a strong person who was filled with warmth and love.

It is with deep sorrow, love, and condolences that I and my family (Joe Mariconda, son of Lorenzo and Mariannina) send warmth and love during this difficult time to my family for the passing of Zia (Aunt) Diane. I remember as a young boy, going to work in Chatham to pick tomatoes and I vividly remember Zia Diane saying if I don’t pick more than 10 bushels a day I’m heading back to Toronto—that was enough motivation to build my gumption, work ethic, focus, and dedication to the jobs I do! Zia Diane will be forever remembered and greatly missed. A shining angel and bright star amongst men—loss doesn’t feel easier, we build our resilience around the heaviness created with the passing of a dear loved one. With so much love and sincerity, may there be moments of peace to everyone experiencing the great loss with the passing of Zia Diane. Love, Joe and kids
