Richardson: Charles Elliott -

A resident of Thamesville, Charles Richardson passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on April 10, 2024 at the age of 89.

Born in Chatham, Charles was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (née McPhail) Richardson.

Beloved husband of 64 years to Barbara (née Liddy).

Dear father Carrie Campbell (Randy), Michael Richardson, Brian Richardson and Robert Richardson.

Proud grandfather to Douglas, Glen, Matthew (Destiny), Joseph and Ericka; great-grandfather to Mijj and Minni.

Predeceased by sisters Mary McFadden, Jane Sinclair and Annie White.

Chuck will also be dearly missed by his sister-in-law Dianne Barnier (late Doug) along with many nieces and nephews.

Chuck was raised on the family farm in Turin. Along with his mother and sister's, they kept the farm going and then Chuck spent many years driving Transport. After his retirement he found personal joy in driving for Caring Helping Assisting People (CHAPS). His next love was his little horses that he would harness to a wagon and take into parades and to the retirement home for visits. He was a life long member of Turin United Church.

A special thank-you is extended to the Doctors and Nurses on 4th Floor B Medicine and the ICU at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

In keeping with Chucks wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited on Sunday, April 21, 2024 for memorial visitation at McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. E. Ridgetown from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Chuck's life will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. A private interment will be held at Gosnell Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial donations made in memory of Chuck to the Turin United Church or the Chatham-Kent Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
